Week 1 Mon 4th April - Fri 8th April
10:00am - 12:00pm
Aimed at children from age 7-11, in these sessions children will have an hour to build and program a LEGO model from a selection of models. The models are brought to life using motors and sensors and an intuitive block programming language. A trained facilitator will be on hand who will support them through the building stages all the way to programming their model. Each session, children will choose a different model to build and will work in pairs to complete their model together. Children pick models that they want to build and work through the build, learning what they need to as they progress. As such, each lesson is standalone and children will have to learn what they need to complete their projects on the day. At the end of each session, children will present their creations to each other and to parents and talk through what they have learned. CANCELLATION POLICY: • with 2 weeks notice, we will provide a full refund. • with 48 hours notice, we will provide credit (for use for Zoom Sessions, Holiday Camps or Term-Time Sessions). • less than 48 hours notice, no refund or credit.
Camp notes
Sessions will run in either the Children's Room on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and the Large Committee room on Wednesday.
When you arrive, please come and wait outside. If the door is not open, please rung the buzzer for the Children's Room first, then the Large Committee room and someone will open it for you.
Please arrive promptly as the models often take the entire session to create. This will allow your child the best chance to succeed.
